On July 23, 2015 the New England Patriots signed Tarell Brown.
July 29, 2015 update On March 13th ESPNBoston.Com's Mike Reiss reported that
"Term: one-year, $1.5 million
Signing bonus: $400,000
Base salary: $1 million
Roster bonus: $100,000 (if on 53-man roster for first game)
Playing-time incentives: $500,000 ANALYSIS: This deal reflects how Brown has started 56 regular-season games over the last four years and is a starting-caliber player when healthy. The health is a factor because he is coming off a foot injury that landed him on injured reserve last December and altered his offseason training. If healthy and returning to past form, the 30-year-old Brown figures to compete for a starting role, which he assumed last year in Oakland after signing a one-year, $3.5 million contract as a free agent. Brown was arguably the top cornerback remaining on the market and the feeling from here is that this was a solid signing by New England in which the team paid market prices for a veteran player coming off injury with starter-quality skills."
